Product identification + inventory planning

Product codes and inventory made easier.

Create and validate barcodes, work with GTIN and GS1 data, make product labels and calculate what to reorder—without turning a simple task into enterprise software.

Find the right tool

Search by task, identifier or calculation. Product data entered in core browser tools is not sent to a QiiChain account because no account is required.

Start with the job

What do you need to do?

QiiChain is organized around the product and inventory workflow, not around a wall of unrelated calculators.

GS1 + 2D transition

Prepare product data for richer 2D barcodes.

GS1’s industry goal is widespread retail adoption of QR Codes powered by GS1 and other next-generation 2D barcodes by the end of 2027. QiiChain focuses on the underlying work that makes that transition useful: clean GTINs, Application Identifiers, Digital Link syntax, lots, dates, serials and scanner-ready data.

Current referenceGS1 Digital Link URI syntax 1.6.0GS1 lists version 1.6.0 as the current URI syntax release (April 2025). QiiChain pages show their review date and link to the source used.

Inventory planning

Use formulas as decisions, not decoration.

Every inventory calculator shows its formula, assumptions and the next question to ask. Reorder point, safety stock and EOQ can be useful, but they cannot make volatile demand, supplier delays or minimum order quantities disappear.

How QiiChain is built

Fast answer first. Standards and assumptions underneath.

1. Do the task

The working tool appears before long supporting content.

2. Explain the result

Results are written in plain language with formulas or validation evidence.

3. Show the limit

A valid barcode number is not the same as retailer acceptance, and a stock formula is not a forecast.

4. Link the source

GS1 rules and important inventory formulas are tied to the documentation used to explain them.
